BLS Renewal Course
The American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Renewal Course is designed for current AHA BLS Providers who need to update and refresh their certification before it expires. This course reviews the essential skills of high-quality CPR, AED use, and team-based resuscitation while incorporating the latest AHA science guidelines.
Through interactive discussion, skills practice, and real-life scenarios, participants will reinforce their ability to recognize and respond to life-threatening emergencies in both in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.
Course Content Includes:

Review of high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants

Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

Effective ventilations with a barrier device and bag-mask device

Relief of choking in all age groups

Team dynamics and multi-rescuer response

Updates to the AHA guidelines and protocols
Certification:
Upon successful completion of the course and skills testing, participants receive an American Heart Association BLS Provider eCard, valid for two years.
Prerequisite:
A current (unexpired) AHA BLS Provider certification card is required to take this renewal course.
