American Red Cross – Adult First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Course 

The American Red Cross Adult First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Course prepares participants to teach American Red Cross Adult First Aid/CPR/AED courses in both the traditional classroom and blended learning formats.

This course is ideal for those who want to train others to recognize and respond to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies for adults. Instructor candidates will learn how to effectively plan, teach, and evaluate skills while following American Red Cross program guidelines.

Course Content Includes:

• Roles and responsibilities of a Red Cross Instructor

• How to conduct Adult First Aid/CPR/AED courses

• Using Red Cross curriculum, lesson plans, and multimedia tools

• Administering skills practice, assessment, and remediation

• Recordkeeping, course reporting, and certification issuance

• Classroom management and safety considerations

Prerequisites:

• Current American Red Cross Adult First Aid/CPR/AED certification (or equivalent)

• Completion of the Adult First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Online Session prior to attending the in-person course

• Minimum age of 16

Certification:
Upon successful completion, participants receive a 2-year American Red Cross Adult First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification, authorizing them to teach the course to others.
